Gonçalo Vieira [homepage]
Assistant Professor, Head of AntECC Research Group. PhD in Physical Geography at the University of Lisbon and coordinator of AntECC (Antarctic Environments and Climate Change). His research interests focus in the geomorphodynamics of polar and mountain environments and the control of climate change. Gonçalo collaborates since 1999 in research projects in the Antarctic. He is Co-Chair of SCAR Expert Group on Permafrost and Periglacial Environments, national representative at the European Polar Board, national contact for the International Polar Year, as well as national representative at the International Permafrost Association and International Association on Cryospheric Sciences . |

Alexandre Trindade
Research Assistant. MS in Geography (Specialty in Physical Geography, Resources and Natural Hazards) at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon and researcher of the Centre of Geographical Studies. His research interests focus on Permafrost and climate change and Geomorphodynamics in permafrost environment. His MS focused on the thermal regime of the active layer and permafrost in the Hurd Peninsula (Livingston Island, Antarctica). He participated in the Antarctic campaigns of 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 in Livingston Island, integrated in the Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition. Alexandre is a member of the Permafrost Young Researchers Network (PYRN) and of the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS). |

João Agrela
Pós-graduado em Gestão do Território (Área de Especialização Ambiente e Recursos Naturais) pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas. Encontra-se actualmente a desenvolver tese de mestrado sobre a temática de conservação de solos e é bolseiro do grupo de Investigação AntECC - Antarctic Environments and Climate Change, do Centro de Estudos Geográficos da Universidade de Lisboa. |
