 Workshop destinado a professores e educadores, de todos os graus de ensino e disciplinas. Este workshop tem como objetivo fornecer noções básicas sobre as regiões polares (através de palestras dadas por cientistas polares) úteis para as aulas, estimular a partilha de experiências educativas entre professores, educadores e cientistas, e desta forma promover o debate, e avaliação do que tem vindo a ser feito a nível educativo sobre as regiões polares. Pretende-se também ter um olhar para o futuro, além de dar a conhecer o projeto educativo, e a ciência polar que se faz em Portugal.

To help increase the effectiveness of outreach and to help stimulate new efforts among Antarctic researchers, SCAR programs and groups, and partner organization, this session will bring together examples of capacity building, education, outreach and training efforts of researchers, educators, communicators, and others involved with Antarctic knowledge transfer and dissemination. We particularly encourage presentations that not only share experiences, but also include the lessons learned and advice for others interested in developing similar activities.
