First stop – to fly the flags of the University of Bahrain:

​After a spectacular trip over the Andes we arrive via Sao Paolo (Brazil) and Santiago (Chile) to Punta Arenas.
​Staying with the wonderful Pamela at her holiday rentals we get two days to check out the interesting city of Punta Arenas, and Scotland’s own Heriot Watt University: we eat lots of delicious lamb; admire the local architecture and great museums; statues of the brave marine heroes who first braved the dangerous waters around Terra Del Fuego; the birds; and the local art – some of the most stunning of which is by the indigenous peoples like the Selknam who body painting is admired by so many​
